About the Book
With one bridge gone and the other under constant guard, Bogue Banks is as safe as it will ever be. It is also alone. The fishing grounds are thinning, the medicine is running out, and the farms that fed the island sit on the far side of a sound ruled by men with fast boats and long memories.
